Event Description
Experience an evening of powerful, lyrical and richly varied music performed by two of UVic’s acclaimed faculty artists: cellist Pamela Highbaugh Aloni and pianist Arthur Rowe.
The program brings together three masterworks spanning the 19th and 20th centuries. Beethoven’s dramatic C-minor Sonata is followed by Stravinsky’s spirited Suite Italienne, a neoclassical work inspired by music from Pulcinella. The evening concludes with Brahms’s deeply expressive F-Major Sonata, one of the great works of the cello and piano repertoire.
