Sunday Sessions: Bow Valley Songwriters' Series

Event Description

Core Values Cider Co. ✨SUNDAY SESSIONS✨are returning OCTOBER 25TH! This season we’re switching things up.

The vision? A monthly Songwriter’s Circle featuring 3 of the Bow Valley’s best. Join us for a community celebration and intimate performances from our featured artists as they showcase their work and break down the inspiration behind their songs. Hosted by our friend and event collaborator Sue Chick Denton!

This month’s featured artists:

Sue Chick Denton ( @suechickmusic ) is a long time local singer-songwriter who enjoys connecting with people around shared song. She has been a member of various groups, including acclaimed women’s acapella ensemble In The Pink and the folk music duo, hummingBird. Her poignant storytelling and crafting of lyric set her apart and make any opportunity to hear her one worth taking. She currently performs solo and with her vocal focused folk group Chick & Chang.

Local singer/ songwriter / historian Mike Petroff (@mikepetroff6 ) shares his observations of life through song. Raised on the likes of Prine, Lightfoot and Young. Mike paints and invites listeners into an emotional landscape and his album “1000 Storms” displays his talent for this. He has graced the stages of many venues and radio play across North America and Europe. According to Mike, an untold story is an injustice … live your life like a song!

Wayfaring and whimsical, weaving stories into melodies in his own bluesy/folk, foot-tapping style. Mister Bird (@mister_redgebird ) highlights the magic of the wild & the subtle miracles of everyday. Recognized for his heart moving performances and his rich & rusty voice. Leaving his listeners feeling as though they’ve lived the song.
