Event Description

Kid's Scavenger Hunt
Everyday from September 27 to October 31 celebrate the magic of autumn with Merridale’s Kids Harvest Scavenger Hunt! This free family-friendly activity invites young explorers to discover the orchard, solve harvest-themed clues, and learn about the apples that become our award-winning cider.

Whether you’re visiting for lunch, Thanksgiving weekend, or simply enjoying a fall day in the Cowichan Valley, the scavenger hunt is a fun way to experience Harvest Season together.

Grab Your Map & Start Exploring
Your adventure begins at the Farmhouse, where you’ll pick up your Kids Harvest Scavenger Hunt Map before heading into the orchard.

As you explore, you’ll:

Search for harvest-themed clues
Discover fun facts about apples and orchard life
Explore our beautiful working orchard
Complete the hunt and earn a sweet prize
Designed for children of all ages, the scavenger hunt is perfect for little adventurers and families looking to make lasting autumn memories.

Warm Up Along the Way
Before you head out, don’t forget to grab a Hot Apple Cider To Go—the perfect companion for a crisp fall walk through the orchard.

For the grown-ups, make it even cozier by adding a splash of our handcrafted Spiced Rhumb for the ultimate harvest treat while the kids explore.

Make It a Full Day at Merridale
The scavenger hunt is just the beginning of your visit.

After your adventure, you can:

Enjoy lunch in our Farmhouse Eatery
Browse our Farm Shop for local gifts, cider, and spirits
Relax with handcrafted cider or seasonal cocktails
Watch Harvest Season unfold around the orchard
Visit with your dog on our dog-friendly patio
Explore our seasonal events happening throughout October
There’s something for every member of the family to enjoy.
