So Kristy and I went to Calgary and went to hoodie hardcore fest. Here are some highlights: -Blue Monday were awesome, they were very tight. I cant wait for their upcoming 7"..
-End This Week With Knives ripped shit up. They were very tight and energetic. I also am looking forward to their upcoming release.
-Where Once Was Hope were awesome metalcore with two vocalists. Their demo doesnt capture their live energy very well....
-The Pressure Point were joined on stage by the singer from compromise and they played a compromise song in memeory of Jordan and Dan who were killed in a car accident while on tour abotu three months ago.
-Tandum Vitalis were another awesome metalcore band. they had three guitar players. Unfortunately they didnt have a recordign yet.
-Figure Four put on a really good show and everyone was totally into them. they sound like buried alive/hatebreed etc. there was a huge circle pit during one of their songs that took up half- the venue and tonnes of hardcore dancing.
-One of These Days were rad lifetime style melodic hardcore... the crowd seemd really into them.
-The comeback Kid were similar in stlye to bands like champion, but had tonnes of hard breakdowns. lots of hardcore dancing and sing alongs for them.

Lowlights:
-Champion cancelled
-Season of Fire (ex memebrs of harvest) cancelled
-sitting in a bus for 15 hours each way is not fun
-my ear plugs breaking on the 1st day
-Kristy missing most of the show due to a certain someone not knowing where Ironwill Tattoo is on the 1st day, and getting a migrane and going back to our freinds house half way through the second day. - Fri, 20 Sep 2002 2:06pm
