Drummer/band-leader Kelby MacNayr assembles five of the West Coast's finest improvisers to breathe life into the classic jazz sounds of the 1950'and 60's Blue Note jazz era!
With the goal to bring-back-to-the-bandstand the toe-tapping, swinging, story-telling traditions of Blue Note Records artists, this band sizzles celebrating the work of Cannonball Adderley, Art Blakey, Horace Silver, Duke Pearson and MORE!
The quartet and their love of contemporary jazz are all incredibly gifted and versatile players who combine a deep love of melody with their own brand of spirited and adventurous lyricism.
