Ive not heard Bong, but I know they are a prevailent local band now so they make the cut. Who are YOU going to see on June 20th? | RSBF User Info... | ML7 are good friends and have worked VERY hard on producing this incredible CD to be released on the 20th. i would recommend that they get a tonne of support for this CD release and as Mike said somewhere on this board.......... they only produce a CD every 7-8 years (*grin*) so this is a BIG BIG night for them. i'm sure there will be a great turnout regardless. ML7 has our support for sure. | King Bong User Info... | First, the Daygo show is an early show @ Lucky so I will drop in for sure they are fucking great and deserve all my respect! ML7 fucking Rocks!!! If I could ditch my show I would be there. But for those who will attened this Bong show ... You should know that this show is the kick off to three nights on the Bong! The 20th @ Steamers The 21st @ the Whitehart Pub on Gabriola Island The 22 @ the Little Ferwood "a benifit for Ted Smith's Canabis Compassion Club" DJ Shaky T will open at steamers with our good freinds from Toronto Greenlaw Ave. following and then Bong. At the Whitehart just Bong And Shaky T At the Benifit for Ted, Shakey T, Greenlaw Ave, Zola Bud, And Bong, show starts early and admission is BUY DONATION..and there will be A LOT of herb there man so come on down this will be a burner! But, if something horrible happens, like that negative asshole decides to come to the Bong show, I'll be at ML7! One shower before work, one shower after work, both involve soap. I will be at Upstairs Lounge on June 20th. If we weren't playing, I'd still go see Bronze and Gross Misconduct, two of my favorite bands on Van Isle besides Gorilla Monsoon. All the shows should do well. | jay brown User Info... | I hate to throw a wrench in the works, but as of the Dayglos show Lucky aint doing the early shows anymore. Dayglos will be a regular bar show, which means it isn't an early show, and if we can keep filling the room with more decent bands they will be letting us have more weekend shows there as well. | King Bong User Info... | OH and Meatlocker7 Fans remember this is the Upstairs Lounge..so 1. no ripped jeans 2. no gang colors 3. no head gear of any kind 4. no team affilations 5. you will be recorded on the hidden cameras 6. combat pants, camoflage gear etc not accepted Friends showed up for a Mcgillicuddies show there and were turned away because they were not dressed properly..so be forwarned get to the gap as soon as possible or you may not get in! That's worse than (the newly) Legends booting out moshers to a Metallica Tribute band (and doesn't Legends have one of the biggest dance floors), I'm sure you guys've heard worse. Thank god I didn't get a job at Upstairs but I'll go for a ML7 "CD RELEASE" gig & as my first time at Upstairs (Where oh Where: Here's your dating scene). Seen Dayglos wayyyy too many times, well er uh, five-ten years ago but haven't seen them since Willy joined! To decide on which to go to... I'd go for what's "local support" and "event" taking place, but that's me. ML7's next gig will probably be out of town... the way to do it (you guys got a tour lined up?) & Dayglos will likely play again locally (they just get back from tour?) in the near future... | Lucky Bar | the dayglos show will be an all night gig. we are not doing this to compete with other shows, it just makes sense to us. personally, i didn't like early shows for many reasons and we have decided to make some changes here at lucky. friday nights are going to have late shows more and more. it basically comes down to this. i am committed to doing cool live music in this city and as long as people come out to support it, i will continue to do so. metal fans should look out for Paul Dianno coming very soon and i am working on putting together a show with Infernal Majesty. anyone remember them? i am also looking forward to working with meatlocker seven sometime in the future.ben. - Mon, 9 Jun 2003 12:37am | ||

Plus other then the Dayglo's, which I've never seen live, I gotta check ML7 out cause i had a blast the last time (with SYL at Soundgarden). Plus I've never seen Bronze.
